A quick diagnostic thumbnail of the present shape of growth — so you can see where love is strong and where to shore up what's weak. It does not say “this is a Level-2 person.” It shows the shape of growth across the commands, command by command, to guide loving support.
“This obedience is always in love” (George Patterson) — the aim is encountering Jesus and growing in intimacy, not head knowledge (Mt 22:37–38; Jn 17:3). Love God is the source; everything flows from it.
How to read the mark: for each command, choose the value that best summarizes the present center of development for that command. It is a thumbnail, not an exhaustive judgment. Development is not sequential — a person may show evidence across several levels at once, and be maturing in one command while new in another. Nothing is averaged into a spiritual grade, and no one is ranked. Use the rubric and testimony for the fuller picture; jot the evidence for each mark so it stays anchored, not a gut guess.
Care & consent: mark this only with the person's knowledge, to serve them — never as a record kept over people. In unsafe places use no names. If anyone discloses danger or abuse, their safety comes before any assessment.
Guard (Patterson): mark only Christ's commands (the what) — never their manner. Baptize is a command; whether it's public or private, immediate or later, is apostolic practice. A set devotional cadence, journaling, or a Lord's-Supper frequency are freely chosen practices, never scored as maturity. Each lens (Disciple / Leader / Church) keeps its own profile.
